Big milestone. It can move and be controlled remotely.
- runs on battery
- video streams in real time at 720p@30
- controller lag is minimal
Problems:
- steering is super twitchy
- gear ratio is way too high and the robot is really slow and noisy (bldc?)
- video isn’t compressed with h264, I just take every frame and compress it as jpeg so tons of gigabytes are flying around, which won’t work over 4g
- steering angles are very small, need to redo the hub and links
